Victoria Park Redevelopment – Coming Soon

Brisbane’s Victoria Park is being redeveloped and will have something for everybody in an incredible new public recreation reserve. Brisbane City Council is transforming an 18-hole golf course into an iconic public parkland, planning and design is currently taking place with strong community input and involvement. Victoria Park will be an all new inner-city attraction, providing visitors with a unique ‘must do’ experience to connect with Brisbane’s subtropical rainforest and distinct south-east Queensland landscapes. World-class architecture will be used to immerse users of the parkland into its natural setting, reminding visitors of the original landscape. Buildings will be sculptured incorporating modern interpretations of indigenous gunyahs (shelters) along with further reference to early indigenous culture and significance of this site to the traditional owners.
